Client to Consultant Bridge (C2CB) is a volunteer organization (group of consultants working pro bono) whose goal is to help the small to medium size businesses that are impacted by the current crisis. While the immediate concern is the health and safety of staff and customers, financial well-being, now and in the future is something that should be considered. We are amassing experts who can guide businesses through these trying times. We do not focus on a specific expertise, but are looking for volunteers with diverse backgrounds and skill sets. In this way, we can create project teams that work nationwide by virtual means to offer advice towards solving problems. The solutions would be both tactical and strategic.

By joining C2CB, consultants will be able to expand their networks and use their skills to assist businesses that need guidance. In many cases, this might simply be an affirmation that owners have selected the correct path for their business; however, we can work with all businesses to identify a long term path to recovery. Small and medium size businesses do not have the resources to hire large consulting firms, so volunteers that can provide direction will help speed up the economic recovery.

The interaction between Client and Consultant is seen as a short term engagement, not a full-blown consulting project. We envision projects to last between one day [8 hours] to three days [24 hours] in duration. This refers to the direct virtual face time spent between Consultant and Client as well as any analytical work or research that the Consultant must perform. It does not refer to the total time-span, be it days or weeks that the engagement lasts. Contact will be virtual and information and feedback exchanged by Zoom, Skype, Webex, or similar platform. This is not meant to replace long-term Client to Consultant relationships that the businesses may already have, but rather to complement them and reduce the financial and business pain being felt by SME's through this "crisis-time" advisory opportunity. Of course, if the Client wishes to retain the Consultant for longer-term advisory services, that does not present a problem, but must be mutually agreed outside the scope of this volunteer program.
